Sun Damage Revision

Sun exposure can cause collagen damage, decreased collagen production and DNA damage in the skin. This can lead to an aged appearance, presenting with wrinkles, pigmentation, altered skin texture, redness, dilated veins, amongst many other changes.

Sun damage revision aims at improving skin health and reducing the risk of skin cancer, and thus reducing the need for surgery or other treatments.

Sun damage prevention and treatment includes:

  • Sun screen with SPF 50+, to prevent further ultra-violet radiation damage.
  • Topical creams, containing products such as Retinoic acid, hydroquinone.
  • Chemical peels, to remove the outer layer of sun damaged skin, to reduce pigmentation and reveal fresh, smooth and younger looking skin.
  • Photo Dynamic Therapy.
  • Intense pulsed light IPL, for treatment of skin redness and brown spots.
  • Laser stimulation of new collagen formation, reducing dilated veins, and promoting skin tightening.
