Auspoint Skin Cancer and Health Clinic

Hi, I’m Dr Shirley Liu, the principal doctor of Auspoint Skin Cancer and Health Clinic, in Como, Western Australia. We have recently opened, and are proud to have a very beautiful and welcoming clinic. The walls are decorated with artistically designed green and brown maple leaves, which represents recovery and life.

We take a holistic approach to skin damage would love to have you come and see us. Over the last few months since we opened I have seen many familiar faces of people who I have treated over the years, and who have followed and supported me during this time.

In my new clinic we have helped hundreds of patients who are suffering different skin conditions, and have treated many skin cancers, such as basal and squamous cell carcinomas, as well as malignant melanomas. We have very short waiting times for appointments, and so people with skin problems can be seen promptly for the detection and treatment skin problems.  This is very important for skin cancers, because early detection and treatment is critically important for obtaining optimal treatment success.

Even though it is winter time here in Perth it is very important that people have skin checks because Western Australians have high rates of skin cancer due to the intense sunshine and natural exposure to UV light, and this can even occur in winter. Cloudy skies do not necessarily mean low levels of UV exposure. Also sun damage that has occurred throughout the year is cumulative, and can result in skin cancer.

So, thank you to all of my previous patients for finding me in my new clinic, and thus having continuity of care.  I am also very glad that new people who have skin problems have come to receive our help, and we have been able to promptly look after them.
